Bending Branch was created as a summertime beer--something sweet, light, and tasty to have on a warm summer evening. The name 'Bending Branch' came long before the design, and therein the challenge--creating an appealing design that tastefully represented the hefeweizen and enticed customers to buy.
I've always preferred to jot down my ideas on paper before taking the deep dive into creating the final product. Above you can see the original sketchbook sketch of the design, the digital version I made in Procreate, and to the left, the final version brewed by Red Rock Brewery and sold at Harmons.
